Check for Overheating & Improve Cooling
If your PC slows down, crashes, or randomly shuts down, overheating might be the culprit. Here’s how to check and fix it:
1. Monitor Temperatures:
- Use a tool like HWMonitor or Core Temp to check your CPU & GPU temperatures.
- If your CPU goes above 85°C under load, overheating is likely causing performance issues.
2. Clean Your PC:
- Shut down your PC and carefully open the case (or remove the bottom panel for a laptop).
- Use compressed air to clean dust from fans, vents, and heat sinks.
3. Improve Cooling:
- Ensure proper airflow—don’t block vents, and consider using a cooling pad for laptops.
- If needed, replace old thermal paste on the CPU/GPU for better heat transfer.
Keeping your system cool prevents throttling and extends hardware lifespan. Try it out and feel the difference!
