If your Windows PC feels sluggish, adjusting the virtual memory could help speed things up!
1. Open System Properties:
- Press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl, and hit Enter.
- Go to the Advanced tab and click Settings under Performance.
2. Adjust Virtual Memory:
- In the Advanced tab, click Change under Virtual memory.
- Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
- Select your main drive (usually C:), choose Custom size, and set the Initial size to 1.5 times your RAM and the Maximum size to 3 times your RAM.
Example: If you have 8GB of RAM, set Initial to 12288 MB and Maximum to 24576 MB.
3. Apply & Restart:
- Click Set, then OK, and restart your PC.
