Check if the Windows Update is providing a generic or incompatible driver. In Device Manager, select 'Update driver' and choose 'Browse my computer for drivers' > 'Let me pick from a list.' Select a compatible driver from the list or point it to the correct driver you downloaded from the manufacturer.
