Random PC Shutdowns Under Heavy Load
A few months ago, my desktop PC started shutting down randomly, especially during heavy tasks like gaming or video rendering. I suspected it was a hardware issue but wasn't sure what exactly was causing it. Solution: After some troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue was overheating. The CPU cooler wasn’t properly seated, causing the processor to hit high temperatures and force shutdowns. To fix it, I: Removed the cooler, cleaned off the old thermal paste, and applied a fresh, thin layer of thermal paste. Reattached the cooler securely and ensured all screws were tightened evenly. Cleaned out dust from the case and upgraded the case fans for better airflow. Since then, the system has been running smoothly, even during intensive tasks.
