Word Files Are Opening Slowly

Hey guys, I’ve been having some issues with Microsoft Word on my Windows 10 computer. It’s super slow when opening documents, and sometimes it even freezes. I just installed Office recently, so everything should be up to date. Does anyone know why this is happening? I need to be able to work faster. Any tips would be appreciated!
