power won't on!!

I recently built a PC, but it won't power on. The fans don’t spin, and there’s no sign of life. What could be the problem, and how can I fix it?

Check the front panel connections. Sometimes the power button cable might not be properly connected to the motherboard header. Refer to your motherboard manual to confirm the connections are correct. If all else fails, try resetting the CMOS by removing the battery for a few minutes and reinserting it.

It might be a grounding issue. Ensure the motherboard standoffs are correctly installed, and the board isn’t shorting against the case. Try running the system outside the case on a non-conductive surface like a wooden table to rule out this problem.

First, double-check all the power connections. Make sure the 24-pin motherboard connector and the 8-pin CPU power connector are securely plugged in. Also, verify the power supply switch is turned on. If everything looks fine, test the power supply using a PSU tester or the paperclip method to ensure it’s working.
